Leadership Development
Leadership Associates provides an array of leadership development services for superintendents and their executive leadership teams. In partnership with California school districts and County Offices of Education, Leadership Associates provides a variety of workshops designed to support executive leaders in improving educational outcomes by delving into relevant resources and participating in timely, real-world problem-solving. Additionally, through customized leadership training, executive leadership advising, and strategic visioning–all tailored to a district’s unique needs–Leadership Associates empowers educational leaders to foster a culture of excellence and achieve sustainable success in their organizations.
Programs and Services for All Leaders and Districts
Leadership Associates offers a variety of programs designed to support the growth and effectiveness of superintendents, assistant superintendents, and educational leaders through networking, advising, and collaborative learning opportunities:
- Superintendent Leadership Network (SLN): Superintendent members recharge their thinking and learn from fellow superintendents in a confidential and trusted small group environment.
- Superintendent Leadership Series (SLS):Offered in regions throughout California, superintendents participate in four quarterly large group sessions during the year that combine content and problem-solving discussions.
- Assistant Superintendent Leadership Network (ASLN): Assistant superintendents participate in small group workshops that focus on their distinct roles, challenges, and issues they are sure to face, particularly those in educational services and human resources.
- Instructional Leadership Series (ILS): Participants learn and practice effective leadership skills focused on improving learning for all students. Through highly interactive seminars, participants create a community of learners designed to challenge norms and foster a spirit of inquiry-based collaboration supporting sustainable improvement.
- Tailored Executive Advisement: From newly appointed executive leaders to seasoned professionals, executive advisement offers regular support, problem-solving, and thought partnership that can help take a new or seasoned leader to the next level.
- Summer Institute: A two-day summer institute for superintendents (1-day for ASLN and ILS members) with a focus on research and best practices. No registration cost for SLN, SLS, ILS, and ASLN members.
